SHANE WOODSON

Shane Woodson was born and raised in Louisville Kentucky. Shane is an award winning filmmaker, producer, director and successful actor.

In 1998, he directed the Pulitzer-Prize nominated play THE DODGE that his father, novelist Joseph Woodson Oglesby, wrote. In his thirty years as an actor, Shane has starred or co-starred in over 100 films, television shows, and stage productions.

He is a member of SAG-AFTRA and Equity. In 2001, Shane co-founded Mercury Rising Films. In 2006, the company released its first feature film, the underground hit comedy CAIN AND ABEL that Shane wrote, produced, directed, and starred in. In 2013, Mercury Rising Films released the award-winning feature film BARRACUDA, which Shane co-wrote, directed, and co-starred in. Released and distributed in 2014 was the company's supernatural thriller, THE LEGEND OF BLACK ANNIE, which Shane directed and co-starred in. in 2016, Shane founded his new company, PEGASUS FLYING FILMS (www.pegasusflyingfilms.com).

In 2020, the company released the award-winning feature comedy TIDY TIM'S, the horror feature CUT AND CHOP, and in 2022, the multi-award winning 8 DAYS TO HELL, starring Eric Roberts.
